The Acorn 130 stairlift with hinged track offers a practical solution when space at the bottom of the stairs is limited. If you have a door or walkway at the bottom of the stairs with no space available for the stairlift to park, then this is when a folding hinged track is required. A folding hinged track allows you to get off the stairlift safely at the very bottom. Once off, the stairlift can be sent up the stairs via remote control to a parking point, you can then manually fold the bottom of the track up leaving your doorway / walkway free of any obstruction.
