The Acorn Heavy Duty stairlift is highly robust machine, perfect for users of up to 25 stone (158kg) thanks to it's upgraded internal components which include heavy duty batteries.

The heavy duty version is equipped with the very same features as the Acorn 130 Stairlift, however it's upgraded in areas to allow the stairlift to be more robust which increases the weight capacity it can take up the stairs. The heavy duty version features adjustable arm width up to 495mm.

The Acorn Heavy Duty stairlift is very simple to use, offers low maintenance and is regarded as one of the most reliable stairlifts on the market. It can be installed on a variety of straight staircases due to it's neat, compact design and slim, tailored track which can be installed on the left or right hand side of the stairs.

It offers a comfortable ride along the stairs due to its quiet and smooth operation, comfortable upholstery and soft stop and start function.

Neat, quick installation: The slimline track is fitted neatly to the stairs treads (not the wall) meaning there is no unsightly structural work or any damage to your home. Installation takes between 1 - 2 hours and once complete your stairlift is ready to use straight away.

Packed with safety features: The electronic and mechanical braking system controls the stairlift during your journey up and down the stairs making it smooth and safe at all times. The stairlift also features a lap harness, safety limit sensors, pressure sensors, lockable key and many other safety features.

Battery power: Like all modern stairlifts, the Acorn HD comes with highly durable battery packs (upgraded on the HD version) which automatically charge at the end of every trip. This means unlike older mains driven stairlifts, the Acorn HD stairlift is whisper quiet and incredibly smooth. The main benefit of this is that the stairlift will continue to work if a power cut occurs.
