The Brooks 130 stairlift with folding rail offers a practical solution when space at the bottom of the stairs is limited. If you have a door or walkway at the bottom with no space available for the stairlift to park, then a folding hinged rail is required. A folding rail allows you to get off the stairlift safely at the very bottom, once off you can then send the stairlift up the stairs via remote control to a park out of the way. The folding rail can then be manually folded upwards leaving your doorway / walkway free of any obstruction.
