The Acorn 130 stairlift with powered hinged track offers a practical solution when space at the bottom of the stairs is limited. If you have a door or walkway at the bottom of the stairs with no space available for the stairlift to park, then this is when a powered hinged track is required.

A powered hinged track allows you to get off the stairlift safely at the bottom, once off then the stairlift can be sent up the stairs via remote control to park. The powered hinge will then automatically fold up leaving your doorway / walkway free of any obstruction. Powered hinges are much easier to use because then don't require the user to manually fold/ unfold the hinge.
