The Brooks 130 stairlift with folding powered rail offers a solution when space at the bottom of the staircase is limited. If you have a doorway or walkway at the bottom of the stairs with no space available for the stairlift to park, then this is when a folding rail track is needed.

A folding powered rail allows you to get off the stairlift safely at the bottom, once off then the stairlift can be sent up the stairs by remote control to park. The powered folding rail will then automatically fold up leaving your doorway / walkway free of any obstruction. Powered folding rails are much easier to use because then don't require the user to manually fold/ unfold the hinge.
