Are Reconditioned Stairlifts The Safer Option?

Are Reconditioned Stairlifts The Safer Option?

Offering reconditioned stairlifts always brings up the same questions from customers "are they safe", "how old are they" "do they look tatty" Which tells us that a customers perspective of reconditioned stairlifts is very low.

Buying a reconditioned stairlift instead of a new model can be a very savvy purchase as long as you do your homework first.

Pick a reputable company: First and foremost a used stairlift should be fully reconditioned by a reputable company, the whole unit including the track should be completely reconditioned. It's very important that when buying a reconditioned stairlift that you’re buying it from a company that knows what they are doing and have made every effort to reconditioned it properly.

Cost: Reconditioned stairlifts should usually be up 30% cheaper than purchasing a new stairlift.

Condition: Although used stairlifts may show slight to some wear (which should be corrected when reconditioned) Many reconditioned stairlifts are like new because the average time a stairlift is used is 2 to 3 years which isn't long considering a stairlifts lifespan can be up to 30 years.

Warranty: Reconditioned stairlifts should come with a warranty just like a new ones do, so if anything does go wrong you'll be covered. If there is no warranty then don’t buy as this tells you the company isn’t confident in their product.
