welcome to Counsel and Care

for older people, their families and carers

Counsel and Care is the national charity working with older people, their families and carers to get the best care and support. We provide personalised, in-depth advice and information, which informs our research and campaigning work.

For over 50 years Counsel and Care has been working to make sure that everyone who comes to us for advice and information receives the support that they are entitled to. For more information about the advice service, please click on 'helping you'.

Counsel and Care is an influential voice, using the experiences we hear on the advice line for our campaigning work.To find out more current policy and the work we are doing to change things for the better, please click on 'influence'.

Counsel and Care has produced a wide range of accessible publications aimed at older people, professionals and policy-makers. For further details and to order a publication, please click on 'influence' followed by the publications tab.

In order to do all the above work, we rely on the generosity of the public for donations and legacies. Local authorities and companies can partner with us to support their residents' and staff advice needs. Our members also have a key role to play as they are invited to networking events and our annual meeting and Graham Lecture. For more information on membership and giving, click on 'support us'.

Our influencing work is strengthened by our involvement in various working groups and coalitions. To find out more about our partners and partnerships, please click on 'networks'.
